Effective June 1, 2026, the Utica brick-and-mortar location has officially closed as Bane-Welker Equipment transitions support for the area through our expanded surrounding market operations and dedicated field service team.
This transition is not a step away from serving the Utica area — it is a shift in how support is delivered in today’s evolving agriculture market.
Like many dealerships across the industry, Bane-Welker Equipment is adapting to changing market conditions, rising operational demands, and the need to invest more strategically in long-term support capabilities. As dealership structures continue to evolve throughout agriculture, the focus remains on maintaining strong service coverage while strengthening the resources behind it.
Many producers are making similar decisions in the current market environment. Producers and dealers alike are consolidating operations, upgrading equipment, and focusing on investments where they drive the most efficiency and long-term return. This same mindset is reflected in how equipment support is being structured, with a greater emphasis on capability, responsiveness, and uptime while aligning resources to better support today’s customer needs.
Across the country, dealerships are moving toward regional support models that prioritize technician availability, mobile service capabilities, parts access, advanced diagnostics, and uptime-focused service over traditional storefront density. This approach allows for greater investment in the people, technology, tools, and infrastructure needed to support the evolving demands of today’s equipment environment.
Support for the Utica area will continue through the Plain City and Circleville facilities which provides expanded service capacity, increased parts availability, enhanced technology, and access to a larger team of equipment specialists. By consolidating resources, Bane-Welker Equipment is better positioned to respond efficiently and deliver the level of support for today’s equipment environment demands.
The Plain City location also features an on-site training center dedicated to continued employee development, allowing teams to strengthen their technical expertise through hands-on training and ongoing education. This continued investment in people helps ensure customers are supported by highly trained professionals equipped to meet the evolving needs of modern agriculture.
Customers previously served by the Utica location will continue to be supported by dedicated technicians assigned to the area through field and remote parts and service support. Maintaining strong local coverage and minimizing downtime remains a priority, with field service continuing to play a critical role during key operating seasons.
This transition allows Bane-Welker to invest more strategically in long-term service capabilities while continuing to provide dependable coverage throughout Central Ohio.
Guided by the principles of trust, teamwork, thrive, and excellence, Bane-Welker Equipment remains committed to delivering consistent, dependable support and strengthening partnerships across every area we serve.
